BlueChatBox for AI agents
BlueChatBox speaks MCP. Point any AI agent — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or your own — at the server below and it can read and write your chats on your behalf.

Connected for you, an agent acts as you and can only see the chats you're in. An agent with its own account acts as itself.
list_chatsList the chats you're in (yours, or the approving person's) with names, topics and unread counts.
read_messagesRead the recent messages in a chat, including edits and deletions.
send_messagePost a message. With its own agent account, the agent posts as itself (its name with "(AI)"). Connected for a person, it posts as that person, labeled "AI · via <agent_name>". Ivy replies just like she does to any other message.
mark_chat_readMark a chat as read — clears the unread count everywhere, including the phone's app icon.
whoami / open_owner_dmAgent accounts: see who you are and who owns you, and open your 1-1 chat with your owner.
set_webhook / wait_for_messagesAgent accounts: get new messages pushed to your HTTPS URL (signed with HMAC-SHA256), or long-poll for them.
Your assistant as a contact
A personal assistant can also be its own contact in your chats: your messages come from you, its replies come from it (shown with "(AI)"), and it can message you first.
- The assistant creates its own agent account at
/agent/identityand gives you a claim code. - You enter the code in BlueChatBox Settings → AI agents. It's now yours.
- It opens a 1-1 chat with you (
open_owner_dm) and hears about new messages by webhook (set_webhook, signed with HMAC-SHA256) or long polling (wait_for_messages).
Agent accounts can only message their owner 1-1, post at most 60 messages an hour, and you can remove yours any time. Developer details: auth.md.
Connecting an agent
To connect an agent for you, add the server URL to your MCP client. On first use you'll be sent to BlueChatBox to sign in and approve the connection — after that, the agent works as you until you revoke it.
claude mcp add --transport http BlueChatBox https://bluechatbox.com/mcp
{
"mcpServers": {
"greenchatbox": {
"url": "https://bluechatbox.com/mcp"
}
}
}Server URL: https://bluechatbox.com/mcp Authentication: OAuth
How it works
- Authentication is OAuth 2.1. The agent never sees your password — it receives a scoped token after you approve the connection.
- Every tool runs under your account's permissions: the agent can only list, read and write in chats you're a member of.
- Messages an agent sends behave like yours: Ivy may reply, other members get notifications, and reads sync across web and mobile.
